ADAPTIVE FITNESS PROGRAMS

Designed for Individuals with Autism & other Special Needs

The Adaptive Fitness Programs adopted by Big Sky Autism Project were developed by Autism Fitness founder Eric Chessen of New York. Eric has a high degree of training in personal fitness and ABA therapy both clinically and academically as well as extensive real world experience. In September of 2018, Monique Prevel, Founder and Head Coach for Big Sky Autism Project, trained under Eric, receiving her Autism Fitness Professional certification in November of 2018, becoming Montana's first and only Autism Fitness Certified Professional. Monique went on to earn her Personal Trainer Certification from National Academy of Sports Medicine in January of 2020. She is continuing her education with Autism Fitness and adding new disciplines to her fitness certification portfolio through multiple certification programs.

Our Adaptive Fitness Programs use the PAC Profile developed by Eric Chessen of Autism Fitness as its foundation. Our programs are one on one, movement based exercise plans that focus on the three main areas of development (Physical, Adaptive, & Cognitive) by identifying and improving pattern dysfunctions, and building strength and stability, helping to improve the individuals every day life through movement. 

All our Adaptive Fitness Programs qualify for the Sliding Fee Schedule. Eligibility is determined by the Income Based Payment Program Application process.

Monthly payment plans are available to all clients regardless of eligibility for the Income Base Payment Program.  We will not deny services to anyone based on their ability to pay. Please see our Payment Programs page under Services for more Information or click the button below.

ADAPTIVE FITNESS ASSESSMENT

Coach Moe will work through the Adaptive Fitness Assessment one on one with your athlete. This Assessment helps us tailor a custom fitness program to your athlete. You are welcomed to stay and observe any of your athletes sessions.

This Assessment may require more than one session to finish depending on the cooperation of your athlete.

Please note: all sessions are recorded and reviewed to help us best identify movement dysfunctions we may not see during the session and to further customize your athletes fitness program.

All adaptive fitness programs qualify for the Sliding Fee Schedule.

*Length of sessions depends on the cooperation of the athlete. 45min is an average session length. Sessions are scheduled for up to 60min.


ADAPTIVE FITNESS PROGRAM

Prerequisite: Adaptive Fitness Assessment

Our Coach will work one on one with your athlete through their customized fitness program. You are welcomed to stay and observe any of your athletes sessions.

Please note: all sessions are recorded and reviewed to help us best identify movement dysfunctions we may not see during the session and to further customize your athletes fitness program.

Sessions may be scheduled on a "single session" basis or in increments of 4, 6, 10, 12, & Custom Session Packages at a further reduce fee rate.

We highly recommend selecting a package option to help build consistency of the fitness program into your athletes routine and maximize results.

All adaptive exercise programs qualify for the Sliding Fee Schedule.

*Length of sessions depends on the cooperation of the athlete. 45min is an average session length. Sessions are scheduled for up to 60min.

PACKAGES

We highly recommend selecting a package option to help build consistency of the fitness program into your athletes routine and maximize results.

SINGLE SESSION

Schedule one session at a time. This option is best suited for individuals with hectic schedules however, to maximize your athletes results from our programs, we recommend a minimum of 2 - 3 session per week OR 1 - 2 sessions per week with 2 - 3 parent/caregiver lead sessions at home.
