Board Member & Advocate
Hi! My name is Ashleigh Heimbach. I am a born and raised Montanan. I love everything this Big Sky state has to offer. I enjoy getting out for hikes with my yellow lab Bristol, playing in the water during the summer months, and most recently looking forward to learning how to snowshoe (without hurting myself!).
I currently am the President/CEO of West Mont. West Mont has given me so many life lessons, quality friendships, confidence, and appreciation for the Helena community. Never in my life have I felt as complete as I do right now, knowing that I can make a difference in someone’s life just by loving and accepting them as they are.
I have worked in the disability field for ten years now and have fallen in love with the clients that we serve. We serve a range of developmental disabilities in our services which has allowed me to gain some incredible insight into how they are people just like you and I.
I applied for a board position with Big Sky Autism Project because it is truly a cause that I support 100%. I want to learn more about how adaptive exercise can help to make a difference in the lives of individuals with ASD. I also want to support an organization that aligns with my want to teach the community about people with disabilities and how to interact with them. I look forward to all the wonderful work that Big Sky Autism Project will accomplish!
